MRS. MILLIE BOYLE OF DEXTER DIES

DEXTER--Mrs. Millie Boyle, a resident of this community through all of her married life, died at her home here Nov. 14, after a long illness. She was 73 years of age.

Mrs. Boyle was the former Millie Carrington, daughter of George and Louise Graham Carrington. She was born Jan. 24, 1881, near Spaulding, in Union county. She was married Jan. 29, 1902, to Ervin Boyle. They were parents of four children, Mrs. Myrtle Thrailkill of Earlham, J. Maurice Boyle of Dexter, Mrs. Beulah Scheibe of Chicago, and Mrs. Carol Binns of Adel.

They started their married life on a farm south of Dexter, living there until their retirement from farming 11 years ago, when they moved into Dexter.

Mr. Boyle died in 1945. In addition to her children, she leaves 18 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two brothers, Claude Carrington of Green Bay, Wisc., and George Carrington of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Nov. 17 from the Dexter Methodist church. Burial was made at Penn Center cemetery.

MILLIE CARRINGTON BOYLE

Millie Carrington, daughter of George T. and Louisa Graham Carrington, was born January 24, 1881 near Spaulding, Iowa in Union county, and passed peacefully away Monday afternoon, November 15 at her home in Dexter after a prolonged illness at the age of 73 years, nine months and 21 days.

On January 29, 1902 she was united in marriage to Ervin Boyle. To this union four children were born-Myrtle Thrailkill of Earlham; J. Maurice Boyle of Dexter; Beulah Scheibe of Chicago, Illinois, and Carol Binns of Adel.

They started their married life on a farm south of Dexter and spent their entire lives in this community. Eleven years ago they retired from farming and moved to a home in Dexter. On February 28, 1945, Mr. Boyle passed away and Mrs. Boyle continued to maintain her home in Dexter.

In early youth she joined the Methodist church and through her entire life helped with all church work whole heartedly, for many years being active in the Penn Center church.

Her many friends and loving family and her beloved garden helped her through the lonely years since her husbands death.

She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, two brothers, Claude Carrington of Green Bay, Wisconsin and George Carrington of Des Moines, and numerous other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.
