KNIGHT IS BURIED AT PENN CENTER

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Dexter Methodist church for Wyman D. Knight, former Madison county resident, whose death had occurred May 10 at Dexter. He was 81 years of age.

Mr. Knight's early life was spent in Madison county. He was married Jan. 1, 1910, to Laura Lee Jones. She died one year later, leaving a small son, Merrill. On May 4, 1916, he was married to Eldora Leeper Knight. She also preceded him in death.

Mr. Knight was a member of the Masonic lodge at Dexter.

Surviving are his son, Merrill Knight, of Denver, Colo.; two stepsons, Dr. Edson Knight of Marshalltown and Hugh Knight of Shelby; and five grandchildren.

The Rev. Clyde King conducted his funeral services last Wednesday. Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.

WYMAN D. KNIGHT

Wyman D. Knight was born January 10th, 1873, in Jackson township Madison county, Iowa. He passed away at Dexter, May 10, 1954 at the age of eighty-one years and four months.

His early life was spent in Madison county. He was united in marriage to Laura Lee Jones, January 1st 1910 who passed away one year later. To this union was born one son, Merrill. On May 4, 1916 he was united in marriage with Eldora Leeper Knight.

He was a great lover of Free Masonary and was a member of Mt. Tabor Lodge No. 293 A.F. and A.M. of Dexter, Iowa

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and five sisters. He leaves to mourn his passing one son Merrill of Denver, Colorado, two nephews, Dr. Edson of Marshalltown, Hugh of Shelby, Iowa; five grandchildren; many relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 12 at the Dexter Methodist church at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Clyde King was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Penn Center cemetery.
