Mary Elsie Wigton Woodall, the daughter of Elna and Florence Wigton, was born June 19, 1915 at Redfield, Iowa. She passed away March 11, 1986 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Elsie attended school at Redfield and Dexter. She was united in marriage to Glenn Woodall in June of 1945 at Adel, Iowa. She lived all of her married life on a farm north of Earlham until about five years ago when they moved into Earlham. Three of those last years both Elsie and Glenn resided at the Earlham Manor Care Center as it was their desire to continue their life together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Her survivors include her husband Glenn of Earlham; a sister, Arlee Foley of Earlham; two brother, Harry Wigton of Redfield and Carroll Wigton of Dexter, also a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted March 14, 1986 at the United Methodist Church, Earlham, Iowa, with Reverend Eldon Cole and Reverend Helen Farr officiating. Organ music was provided by Gretchen Brittain and Irene Cole was soloist. Pallbearers were Jack Kinkennon, Jim Wigton, Roger Bird, Billy Foley, Norman Hougham and Bob Derrickson. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Slavens, Beryl Kenworthy, John Williamson, Dale VonRentzel, Richard Cooper and Raymond Thompson. Interment was in Earlham Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa.
