DOLORES LESHER, Winterset

Dolores Lesher, 79, of Winterset died April 28, 2007, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, May 2, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Chris Hartshorn officiating. Burial was at Washington Cemetery in Gravity.

Dolores Lesher was born March 30, 1928, in Algona to John T. and Mary B. (Kunkle) Lallier. She grew up in the Algona area, attending school at St. Benedict. Her marriage to Lyle L. Lesher took place Sept. 5, 1953, in Polk County. Dolores was a CPNA throughout her career, retiring in 1980. For most of her life, she resided in Rembrandt and Varina. In 1984, she moved to Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Noreen Waterman; and two brothers, Charles and Arnold Lallier.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Zach of Leawood, Kan., and Susan Dean of Waterloo; three brothers, Kenneth Lallier, Richard Lallier and Marvin Lallier, all of Algona; a sister, Luella Potratz of Spirit Lake; and a grandson.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset.

Arrangements were handled by Ritchie Funeral Home in Bedford.
