Grace Olive Garmon of Truro died Tuesday, June 3, at West View Care Center in Indianola at the age of 87. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
Born on Nov. 16, 1897, in Patterson, she was the daughter of Lyman I. and Laura Jane Potter Fogler. She attended Patterson schools and on Nov. 16, 1913, was married to John Garmon at Patterson. Mrs. Garmon was a member of the Truro Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband John; three children, Clarence E. Garmon of Truro, Doris Eileen See of Carlisle and Betty Louise Lorenz of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two brothers, Guy Fogler of Winterset and Bill Fogler of Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and a sister, Pearl Garmon.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Rev. George Campbell officiating. Burial was at Blair Chapel Cemetery near St. Charles.
