Wednesday, September 24, 1958B. H. SAXTON DIES AT CEDAR RAPIDS
Funeral services for Burton H. Saxton, a native of Madison county were held at Cedar Rapids, Ia. last Friday, Sept. 19. Mr. Saxton suffered a heart attack while attending a coin collectors convention in Los Angeles, and died there on Sept. 14.
He was born at Macksburg on Sept. 5, 1876.
A coin collector for over 50 years, his extensive collection including coins far predating the birth of Christ. He was also prominent in Iowa Masonic circles, having served as grand master of Iowa Masons in 1934-35.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Saxton of Lorimor and H. M. Saxton attended the services of their cousin.
