MRS. EMMA CAMPBELL DIED LAST TUESDAY

Winterset Resident More Than Half Century Dies at 83 Years

Mrs. Emma E. Campbell, a well known Winterset resident for half a century, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, at St. Louis, Mo., where she had gone recently to spend the winter.

Mrs. Campbell was 83 years of age. She was the widow of the late Robert L. Campbell, veteran Winterset carpenter, whose death occurred about three years ago.

She was born Oct. 5, 1865, near Ottumwa, and was married there in 1897. She and Mr. Campbell started housekeeping in Winterset and this community was her home thereafter.

She is survived by one son, George Campbell of Winterset; and two grandsons, Robert and Douglas Campbell.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. F. Donald Worden, pastor of the Winterset Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
