WALTER A. BERRY OF WINTERSET DIES

Death Occurred at Memorial Hospital at Age of 75 Years

Walter A. Berry, retired farmer who had made his home in Winterset in recent years, died last Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Memorial hospital here. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Berry was born Jan. 28, 1883, near Afton, in Union county a son of James and Ida Wilson Berry. He was married at Afton on March 18, 1908, to Almyra Donner. They had lived in Madison county the last 21 years.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Elton Berry of Wahkon, Minn., Elbe Berry of Des Moines, Warren Berry of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Groesbeck of Afton; a brother, Harry Berry of Garden Grove, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Fred Boyce, pastor of the St. Paul Lutheran church in Winterset. Burial was made in the Afton cemetery.
