Funeral Services Held Last Sunday; With Burial in Winterset
Mrs. Zoa I. Rippey, for 61 years a resident of Madison county, died Friday, June 6 at Des Moines. She was 74 years of age.
Mrs. Rippey was born March 3, 1878 in Lincoln township. She was married at Kasson on April 28, 1897, to J. Warren Rippey, who preceded her in death. They were parents of seven children, two sons, Dale and James, preceding the mother in death.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union at Ord.
Surviving are three sons Olin L. Rippey of Leon, Russell E. Rippey of Milton, and Gleason W. Rippey of Pasadena, Calif.’ two daughters Mrs. Loren Boyd of Des Moines and Mrs. H. B. Woolery of San Gabriel , Calif.; a brother, Ben Johnson of Los Angeles; and a sister, Mrs. Ollie Bolton of Ainsworth, Nebr.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Edward Boone, pastor of the First Pilgrim church of Des Moines.
Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
