Mrs. P. S. Wise Dies

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. P. S. Wise (Pulaski Seneca Wise) of St. Charles at her home there Monday morning February 10th. Mrs. Wise was ill only a short time. Her funeral services were held in St. Charles Wednesday afternoon. She is survived by her husband, who is editor of the St. Charles and Truro newspapers.

County Briefs - St. Charles

Mrs. Marie Wise, wife of P. S. Wise, editor of the St. Charles News, died at her home Monday morning. She has been in poor health for about two years.

Her maiden name was Marie Bussing, and was married in Des Moines to P. S. Wise thirty-three years ago, when she came to St. Charles.

She was very active in church and social work. She was a member of the Methodist church and for many years was financial secretary and treasurer, was a teacher in the Sunday school and held various offices in the home missionary society.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and held many offices in that order, the last was worthy matron two years ago. Until failing health, she assisted in conducting and operating the paper, published by her husband. Her mother made her home with her until the mother's death a few years ago.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. D. F. Barker, assisted by Rev. Carnahan Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
