Winterset, IowaFORMER RESIDENT DIES ON WEST COAST
Mrs. Lilah Rhoades, former resident of Madison county, died Sept. 12 at her home in Spokane, Wash., according to word received here this week. She was an aunt of Mrs. A. E. Emerson and Mrs. S. S. Clifton of this community.
Mrs. Rhoades was the former Lilah Moore, daughter of Jehu and Margot Ann Moore. She was born in Madison county March 26, 1873. She lived with her mother in Winterset for several years and was employed at the Neilson Photographic studio, prior to her marriage to Homer Rhoades. She moved with her family to Spokane, Wash, about 30 years ago.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Harold Rhoades of Coeur D’Alene, Ida; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Leavitt of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
