MRS. OTHELLO BEELER, PERU, DIED SATURDAY

Survived by Exactly Seven Months the Death of Husband

Death came to another pioneer resident of Madison county last Saturday with the passing of Mrs. Othello Beeler of Peru, who succumbed at the home there of her son, P. F. Beeler. She was 70 years of age. A stroke suffered last Thursday was given as the cause.

Mrs. Beeler's death came just seven months to the day and to the hour, after the death of her husband.

Mrs. Beeler was born in Walnut township of pioneer parents and spent her entire life there and in Peru which had been her home for the past 15 years. She was the former Emma Deardorff, daughter of Pleasant and Katherine Deardorff.

She was the mother of five children, four sons and a daughter. Three of the sons survive their mother. They are P. F. Beeler of Peru, Otto Beeler of near Peru and Leo Beeler of Ohio township.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Methodist church in Peru, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. I. G. Wilkins, assisted by the Rev. E. L. Patterson of St. Charles. Burial was made in the Ebenezer cemetery.
