Death of Sarah Decker Porter

Sarah Marjorie Decker, daughter of Debra and Jacob Decker was born in Knox County, Missouri, December 22, 1861, and died at her home in Lorimor, Sunday March 7th at the age of 75 years. Her marriage to William Anderson Porter was solemnized, September 12, 1878 and they were the parents of two daughters, Myrtle and Cora. The daughter, Cora, died July 16, 1927 and Mr. Porter died April 27, 1927.

Mrs. Porter was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Peru where she held her membership until her death.

She is survived by her only daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Fink of Lorimor, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held at her home Tuesday afternoon, March 9th at 2:30 o'clock and burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
