Funeral Services Were Held Wednesday From Tidrick's
James Madison Young, veteran Scott township farmer, died at the Winterset hospital Tuesday after a brief illness. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Young was the son of John and Mary Young and was born in this county in 1862, spending most of his life here. His nearest surviving relatives are two brothers, George Young of Winterset and William Young of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Tidrick Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. H. L. Olmstead of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Services for James Young, 75, who died early Tuesday morning at the Winterset hospital, were held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Tidrick funeral home by the Rev. H. L. Olmstead, pastor of the Church of Christ. Mr. Young was stricken with paralysis at his home east of Winterset.
James Madison Young was born in the county February 12, 1864, the son of George W. and Sarah Moore Young. He had spent his entire life here and had lived at the farm in Scott township since 1912. He was married to Mar. L. Koon March 28, 1886. Mrs. Young died in 1930.
Ford went to live with Mr. and Mrs. Young when he was 12 and since 1926, he and his wife have lived at the Young home. Mr. Young leaves a sister, Mrs. Frances Thompson of Earlham, two brothers W. C. Young of Des Moines, and George W. Young of Winterset.
