SHELDON WEAVER

Sheldon Othenile Weaver, son of William J. and Nancy Jane Weaver was born near Peru, Madison county, Iowa, October 9, 1883 and departed this life April 11, 1937 at the age of 53 years, 6 months and 2 days.

He was united in marriage to Mary Ethel Rhone November 25, 1908. To this union was born one daughter, Lydia Jane.

He was converted and joined the Methodist church in 1909 and to which he was a loyal member.

Shell, as he was known to all his friends, was a hard worker always friendly and kind, ready to help anyone in need.

He spent most of his life working for the Chicago Great Western railroad and was in their employ when he became ill with pneumonia and was sick only a week when he was called to the great beyond.

He was a loving husband and a devoted father, and will long be remembered by all who knew him.

He leaves besides his wife and daughter, Lydia Jane Corsbie of Des Moines, one grandson, Danny Gene Corsbie. Four sisters, Mrs. James Seifred, Mrs. Charley Gifford of Peru, Mrs. Jim Dragoo of Red Oak and Mrs. Oscar Carlstrom of Des Moines. Three brothers, James F. and Thomas Phillip of Peru and Albert Neuton of Valley Junction; eleven nieces and four nephews and many other relatives and a host of friends.
