HENRY CAMPFIELD DIED LAST FRIDAY

Funeral Rites Held Sunday in Charge of Rev. H. L. Olmstead

Several years of failing health ended in the death of Henry Gilbert Campfield at his home in Winterset Friday. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Campfield was born in Hamilton county, Minnesota, on May 24, 1861, the son of Benjamin and Mary Day Campfield. He came to Iowa with his parents at the age of two years and spent the remainder of his life in this state.

On February 25, 1895, he was married to Ruby A. Bailey of Fontanelle. They were the parents of three daughters and one son.

At the age of 23 years he united with the Eureka Center Methodist church in Adair county.

He is survived by the three daughters, Ethel E. Wearmouth, Tressa M. Tracey and Etta Osborn, all of Winterset; a son, James M. Campfield of Winterset; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Bolton of Fontanelle and two brothers, I. W. Campfield of Fontanelle and Albert B. Campfield of Afton, in addition to 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. H. L. Olmstead of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Baptist cemetery.
