MRS. RAY SCHULZ COMMITS SUICIDE

Young Woman Ends Life by Taking Poison Last Friday

Mrs. Esther Schulz, wife of Ray Schulz of near Macksburg, committed suicide by taking poison last Friday at her farm home.

Mrs. Schulz was a young woman of 31 years of age, and was the mother of one child. No reason was ascribed for her act, other than that she had not been in the best of health and had been afflicted with a mental melancholia recently.

Mrs. Schulz apparently took the poison after sending for her husband to come to the house.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Busch and was born in Madison county on May 31, 1904. This county had always been her home.

She attended the Winterset high school and was married to Ray Schulz on January 11, 1928.

In addition to her husband she leaves her daughter, Maxine Esther, aged 6, her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Kivett of Peru, Mrs. Eugene Kivett of Orient and Mrs. Roy Augustine of Orient and six brothers, Elmer Busch of Saskatchewan, Canada, Louis Busch of Yoder, Colorado, Wilbur and Stanley Busch of Winterset and Carl and Dwight Busch of Creston.

Funeral services were held from Wesley Chapel Sunday in charge of the Rev. E. L. Spillers of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
