Duane Edward Stewart Sr., 60, of Patterson died April 16, 2007, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Memorial services were held Friday, April 20, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Danielle Grace officiating.
Duane Stewart was born May 1, 1946, in Canton, Ohio, to Guy and Earcy Marie (McCaullum) Stewart. Growing up in Akron, Ohio, he was a graduate of Garfield High School. He had lived in the Patterson and St. Charles areas since 1978. Duane worked as a machinist for Massey-Ferguson for over 20 years until its closing. He also was employed in construction and, most recently, by Terrible’s Casino in Osceola as a slot attendant.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Freda.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Fay Gothar of Patterson; three sons, Duane Stewart Jr. of New Virginia, Mike Stewart of Barberton, Ohio, and Bob Stewart of Norton, Ohio; Fay‘s son, Roger Seiser II of Baxter; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Interstate 35 Roadrunner Little League.
