ROBERTA MILES, ST. CHARLES

Roberta “Ruth” Miles, 69, of St. Charles died April 12, 2007, at her home.

Memorial graveside services were held Saturday, April 21, at St. Charles Cemetery with Pastor Bobb Barrack officiating.

Ruth Miles was born June 25, 1937, in Iowa Falls to Glenn and Ella (Claassen) Hamilton. She grew up in Iowa Falls and, for the past 40 years, resided in St. Charles. Ruth had been a medical transcriptionist, retiring five years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her children, Teri Miles of Evergreen, Colo., and Robyn Cooper of Ankeny; a sister, Fran Clark of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions received by the family will be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel & Funeral Services in Winterset.

Roberta “Ruth” Miles, also known as “Bobbi”, 69, of St. Charles, Iowa, died April 12, 2007, at her residence. Memorial graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at the St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles, Iowa with Pastor Bobb Barrick officiating. The body has been cremated.

Ruth was born on June 25, 1937, at Iowa Falls, Iowa to Glenn and Ella (Claassen) Hamilton. She grew up there and had lived in St. Charles for the past 40 years. Ruth had been a medical transcriptionist and had been retired for five years. She was an avid flower gardener and also enjoyed bird watching.

Ruth is survived by her children Teri Miles of Evergreen, Colorado and Robyn (Scott) Cooper of Ankeny; sister, Fran (Gary) Clark of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; and grandchildren, Davis Cooper and Devin Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials given to the family will be directed to Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel and Funeral Services in Winterset.
