MRS. MARION WHITLOW SERVICES WEDNESDAY

Long Time Resident Here Died Sunday in Des Moines

Mrs. Marion E. Whitlow, a long-time resident of Winterset, died Sunday, Oct. 19, in Des Moines, where she had lived in recent years.

Mrs. Whitlow as the former Josephine Osborn, daughter of Dallas and Catherine Osborn. She was born in Madison County, March 29, 1881, and lived in this community for 60 years. She was a member of the Episcopal church.

She was married at Winterset on Sept. 15, 1897, to Marion E. Whitlow. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by eight children: Wendell A. Whitlow, Mrs. LaDena Christianson, Marion C. Whitlow, Mrs. Mary Taylor and Mrs. Maxine Scott, all of Des Moines; Lloyd E. Whitlow of San Antonio, Tex., William D. Whitlow of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Rose Hildebrand of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
