RAY R. WILSON DIES AT 78 YEARS

Was Well-Kinown Webster Township Farmer for Many Years

Ray R. Wilson, a well-known Webster township farmer for many years, died here Sunday, Nov. 23, at the age of 78 years.

Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 17, 1880, in Keokuk county, a son of Clark and Ida Wilson. As a small boy, he came with his parents to a farm 10 miles southwest of Winterset where his life was spent farming in Webster township, until 1944, when he moved into Winterset.

He was a long-time member of the Oak Grove E.U.B. church.

Mr. Wilson was married Oct. 15, 1902, to Jennie Vanderburg, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Lois Hoeness of Des Moines; two sons, Paul Wilson of Macksburg and Donald Wilson of Hollister, Mo.; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Jessie Brady, Mrs. Lorena Tidrick and Eldon Wilson, all of Winterset; Rollie Wilson of Long Beach, California; Roy Wilson of Bell Fourche, S. Dak., Mrs. Ethel Kingery of Kimball, S. Dak., Mrs. Grace Fuson of Nampa, Ida.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Wesley Lowery of the Oak Grove church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
