Agnes Antle Sulgrove, daughter of Nathaniel and Arminda Antle passed away at her home July 23, 1958 at the age of 57 years, one month and one week.
She was born in Madison county, Iowa on June 16, 1901 and lived her entire life in the Dexter and Earlham vicinities with the exception of five years when they lived on a farm near Panora.
On September 17, 1919 she was united in marriage to George B. Sulgrove of Earlham. To this union a daughter, Betty Jean and a son, William Sherman were born.
She became a member of the Presbyterian church at Dexter April 16, 1911, at an early age.
In 1951 she suffered a stroke and has been an invalid since that time, but her determination to carry on the normal routines of life inspired all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, George, daughter, Betty Jean McClellan, of Storm Lake, son, William of Dexter; two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Steve Nolte, a brother, Ernest of Dexter; a sister, Mamie and a brother, Clifford preceded her in death.

Dexter, IowaMrs. George (Agnes E.) Sulgrove passed away about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, after being in ill health for several years.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sulgrove were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Presbyterian Church here. Rev. Robert Holloway officiated at the service. Mrs. John Shepherd was the organist, accompanying Marlin Piatt as he sang “Ivory Palaces”.
Those who cared for the flowers were Mrs. Isabelle Bast, Mrs. Lenore Husted, and Mrs. Edith French. Casketbearers were Orville Bast, Claire Waugh, Lester Boyle, Robert Hester, Walter Schafer and Keith Algreen.
The burial was in the Penn Center cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by the Gail Leeper Funeral Home of Earlham.
