KATHERINE LIENEMANN DIES IN DES MOINES

Well Known Resident of Jefferson Township Was 69 Years Old

Mrs. William Lienemann, life long resident of Jefferson township, died Sunday morning, May 11th in the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, after a several months illness, at the age of 69 years.

The Rev. E. V. G. Holstein, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township, conducted brief services for her at the Fisher funerl home in Van Meter, Tuesday, May 13th, at 1:30 p.m. and regular services at the church at 2 o'clock, with burial in the church cemetery.

The former Katherine Boos, a daughter of Nicholas and Anna Boos, of Jefferson township, she was born April 2, 1889. She was married to William Lienemann, and they located on a farm in the same township, and this place had since been her home. Her husband died in 1932. Mrs. Lienemann was active in her church and affairs in her community, and while she had been in poor health for some time, she was taken to the Des Moines hospital, only a few days prior to her death.

A son Alfred Lienemann, who resides on the home farm survives her. She leaves two grandchildren Bill Lienemann and Mrs. Jean Richardson and two great grandchildren, all of Van Meter or Jefferson township. She also leaves two brothers and three sisters: Joseph Boos of Van Meter, William Boos of Leon, Mrs. William Martens of Winterset, Mrs. L. V. Martens of Van Meter, and Mrs. Elsie Zieman of Des Moines.
