Death of William A. Banks

William Annon Banks, former Madison county resident, died Sunday, August 22nd at Breakenridge, Minnesota at the age of 74 years. Mr. Banks, the son of Josiah and Elizabeth Crawford Banks, was born in Scott township, November 3, 1862. He grew to manhood in this county and went west in 1885 where he lived for a number of years. In 1913 he returned to Winterset, but several years later he bought land near Superior, Wisconsin where he has since made his home.

The body was brought here and the Rev. M. R. Talley conducted his funeral services at the Ramsey-Richards funeral home Tuesday afternoon, August 24th at four o'clock and burial was in the Baptist cemetery.

Mr. Banks who was the eldest of nine children is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Marion Banks and Elmer Banks of Winterset; James Wesley Banks of Albion, Iowa, Eunice J. Robbins , Cora McKee and Effie McKee all of Winterset.
