Death of Frank Breen

Frank Breen, former Lee township resident, died at his home in Des Moines, Monday evening, July 6th. Mr. Breen, who was 39 years of age, died of heat prostration. He had been in poor health for the past year, but his condition was not regarded as serious, and he was found dead in his room Monday evening.

Mr. Breen was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Breen, pioneer Lee township residents. He was raised in Lee township and following the World War, went to Des Moines, where he was engaged in insurance business for a number of years. He was a salesman for the New York Life Insurance company.

The deceased is survived by two sisters and six brothers; Mrs. Frank McDevitt of Omaha, Nebraska, Miss Joan Breen of Chicago, Mike Breen of Winterset, John of Norwalk, Joe of Chicago, Dan of Adair, Maurice of Omaha and George Breen who resides on the home farm in Lee township.

The Rev. Wm. Hahessy of Winterset will conduct requiem high mass for Mr. Breen at St. Augustine's church in Des Moines this morning (Thursday) at nine o'clock and burial will be made in St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township.
