MRS. HARRIET PARSONS Died Here Monday

Mrs. Harriet A. Parsons, resident of Madison county for most of her life, died Monday at the age of 79 years at her home in Winterset.

Mrs. Parsons was the former Harriet A. Simpson, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Jane Simpson.

On Feb. 20, 1890, she was married to Willis M. White. They were the parents of five children, one daughter dying in infancy. Another daughter, Mrs. Beulah E. Bush, died in 1920, and the remaining daughter, Mrs. Bessie O. Cox, in 1945. Her husband died in 1929.

Her second marriage to Thomas J. Parsons, occurred Feb. 11, 1931. They made their home in Des Moines. Mr. Parsons died in 1936, and Mrs. Parsons returned to Winterset to make her home in 1942.

She is survived by two sons, Orval and Vernon White of Winterset; three brothers, Paskel and Charles Simpson of Winterset and Jesse Simpson of Fullerton, Neb.; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Sterling of Adel, Mrs. Mary Wright of Peru, Mrs. Bessie Loomis of St. Charles, and Mrs. Bertha Gearhart of Lorimor; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Gordon, minister of the United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Worthington cemetery.
