GEORGE W. YOUNG DIED LAST FRIDAY

George W. Young, a resident of Winterset for many years, died at the Winterset hospital here last Friday after an illness of several weeks. He was 87 years of age.

Mr. Young was born in Maryland, but had spent practically all his life in this community. He was a farmer during his active years.

Among his nearest surviving relatives are a daughter, Mrs. Merle Hamilton and a son living in Newton.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery north of town.
