DEATH OF NELSON WOODS IS REPORTED

Word was received here this week of the death of Nelson Woods, former Union township resident at his home in San Bernadino, Cal. on Feb. 25.

Mr. Woods was born and reared in Union township. He was a brother of Mrs. W. A. Ryner of Union township, of Austin Woods of near Pitzer and of Harriett Woods of Clarinda.

Nelson Woods Dies Feb. 25 in California

Nelson Woods, 68 years of age, died Wednesday night, February 25, in San Bernardino, California, following a two and one-half month illness.

Mr. Woods was born and reared in Union township, moving from this community at the age of twenty. He lived in Kansas and Nebraska a few years prior to his going to California. Woods had been employed as engineer on the Union Pacific Railway.

He is survived by his wife of San Bernardino; one son, Wilbur of Stockton, California; one granddaughter, Jean Woods, Clarinda, and Mrs. W. A. Ryner of Winterset, and other relatives in Madison county.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in San Bernardino and burial was made there. Mr. Woods had made a visit here in October.
