MRS. EARL BAKER DIES AT 39 YEARS

Funeral Services Held on Monday From Church at Peru

Mrs. Earl Baker of near Peru, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Friday, Dec. 30, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 39 years of age, and had been in failing health the last year.

Mrs. Baker was the former Hazel Yvonne Hogue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hogue. She was born at Peru on April 25, 1921. She graduated from Peru high school with the class of 1938. She was married to Earl Baker in 1947.

Surviving are her husband; two children by a previous marriage, Marlin and Diane White; three children of this marriage, Michael, Merritt and David Baker; and a grandson, Marlin White, Jr. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hogue; and a brother, Forrest Hogue of San Diego, Calif.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Peru Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Dale Lockhart of Truro. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
