OBITUARY

Lulu Belle Bilderback was born October 20, 1886 in Dallas county, Iowa, the only child of John and Catharine Hodson Bilderback. She passed quietly away early in the morning of June 20, 1961, at the Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset at the age of 74 years, 8 months.

While a young girl she moved with her parents to Earlham, and attended school and graduated from the Earlham Academy with the Class of 1906 and the Commercial class of 1907.

At the age of 13 years she joined the Methodist church.

On March 13, 1912, she was united in marriage to Roy W. Fry, and to them were born five children: Eva Marie Standing of Earlham; Robert Bilderback Fry of Oxnard, California; Kathryn Lucille Stumpenhorst of Des Moines; Charles Warren Fry and Mary Elizabeth Boyle of Earlham.

In addition she was a proud grandmother of ten grandchildren and the great grandmother of two great grandchildren, all of whom were a special delight to her.

Also surviving are two cousins, Beulah Croft and Pauline Bilderback of Des Moines.

Lulu was devoted to her family and home and placed their interests before all others. Although in poor health in recent years, she had been able to work in and enjoy her home and her flowers until just a few short months age.
