HAROLD A. DURHAM OF INDIANOLA DIES

Harold A. Durham, formerly of St. Charles, died Friday, Sept. 8, at his farm home near Indianola. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Durham was a son of Allen and Cora Fife Durham. He was born near St. Charles on Oct. 15, 1899. On March 16, 1921, he was married to Beulah Wood. They lived near St. Charles until 1945, when they moved to near Martensdale. In recent years they had lived southwest of Indianola.

He was a life-long farmer, and for the last 30 years had also been employed by the Burlington railroad.

Mr. Durham was a member of the Primitive Baptist church at Winterset.

He leaves his wife; a son, James Durham of Indianola; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Frey of Winterset; three grandchildren; his father and a sister, Mrs. Enoch Maine, both of Des Moines; and a brother, Harry Durham of Los Angeles, California.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by Elders Fred Phipps of LeGrand and Dovey Talbert of Blakesburg. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
