Funeral Service Scheduled For This Friday At Truro
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, Feb. 25, from the Kale Funeral home in Truro for Otto R. Beeler, age 65. Mr. Beeler died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 22, at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He had been a patient at the hospital since suffering a stroke three weeks ago.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Othello Beeler, he was born on a farm in Walnut township of this county, Dec. 25, 1889. He continued to live his entire life in the same area of southeast Madison county.
He was married to the former Nina Porter, who preceded him in death in January of 1951. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leo Beeler, who died last July.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Laverne Neidt, Carl, and Billy, all of Walnut township; and a brother, Fred, of Des Moines.
Mr. Beeler was a veteran of World War I, and a long-time member of the Methodist church in Truro.
Officiating at the services this Friday will be Rev. Fowler, a former Truro minister. Burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery.
