Winterset, IowaRichard Herman Kneuper, 77, of Lorimor died of renal failure Aug. 2, 2002, at Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Van Meter with Pastor Arno Melz officiating. Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Dick Kneuper was born Aug. 27, 1924, to Richard F. and Henrietta E. (Niendorf) Kneuper of Van Meter. He married Dorothy L. Silverthorn in November of 1947 in Eagleville, Mo. Dick had resided in the Van Meter, Redfield and Lorimor areas. He had been a fence builder and farmer. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Rural Van Meter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and an infant sister.
He is survived by two sons, Charlie Kneuper of Fort White, Fla., and Robert Kneuper (wife Brenda) of Lorimor; one grandchild; and six stepgrandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
