Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Bowlin will be held this Friday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. from the United Presbyterian church in St. Charles.
Mrs. Bowlin died Monday at her home in St. Charles. She was 80 years of age.

Page 7Mrs. Minnie Bowlin Of St. Charles Dies
Mrs. Minnie E. Bowlin of St. Charles died Monday, Sept. 4, at the age of 81 years.
Mrs. Bowlin was a native of the Churchville community, where she was born Oct. 2, 1879, a daughter of J. S. and Christie Willis. She was married July 3, 1899, to Franklin A. Bowlin, in Indianola. They were parents of 10 children, three of whom preceded the mother in death. The husband died in 1938.
Her life was spent in the Churchville, New Virginia and St. Charles communities, except for five years in Dallas and Polk counties.
She was a member of the Christian church at Earlham, and the Presbyterian church and Women's Service club in St. Charles.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Iva Greenwood of Des Moines, Mrs. Bertha Fugo of Cleveland, O., and Mrs. Gladys Blake of Tipton; four sons, Lloyd of La Crosse, Wash., Joseph and Charles of Des Moines, and Lester of Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mellie Bailey of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Martha Wiltsie of Knoxville and a brother, Roy, of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held last Friday from the St. Charles United Presbyterian church, with Howard Church in charge.
Burial was made at Linn Grove.
