MRS. DAISY WRIGHT DIED ON SUNDAY

Born Near Peru, Lived Most of Life in Madison County

Mrs. Daisy E. Wright, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Sunday, Oct. 29 at University hospital in Iowa City, where she had been a patient for six days. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. Wright was born near Peru on Dec. 27, 1885, a daughter of George and Sarah Moore Howard. She was married in Winterset on May 23, 1901, to LeRoy Wright.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Everett Brobst of Winterset; Mrs. Orson Hildebrand of Winterset, Mrs. William Bice of Des Moines, Mrs. Carl Harsh of Newton, and Mrs. Russell Stuart of Winterset; a son Everett Wright of Winterset; and a grandson whom she reared in her home, Billy Earl Johnson, now of Des Moines. She also leaves 28 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Rawley of Winterset, Mrs. Vera Welshon of Des Moines, and Mrs. Ernie Johnson of Winterset; and four brothers, John Howard of Winterset, Alfred Howard of Murray, and Ernie and Lawrence Howard of California.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Anderson-Wilson Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was to be made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery near Winterset.
