MRS. ALICE KNIGHT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Native of Madison County Died April 1 at Age of 90 Years

Mrs. Alice Knight, member of a well known Madison county family, died April 1 at Pasadena, California, at the age of 90 years.

Mrs. Knight was the former Alice Eyerly, daughter of George W. and Martha Howell Eyerly. She was born in Madison county Jan. 28, 1870.

After her marriage to Graham Scott, on Sept. 7, 1898, they lived near Ridgeway, Mo., where their five children were born. The family later moved to a fruit ranch near Boise, Ida., where Mr. Scott's death occurred in 1922.

She later married Creed Knight, who preceded her in death also, as did one of her sons, George Russell Scott.

She leaves two sons, Howard Scott of Glen Rose, Texas, and Raymond Scott of Hollywood, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Fern Blanton of Pasadena and Mrs. Bradford Hays of Hollywood, and several step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She also leaves three brothers, Virgil E. Eyerly of Mason City, and Loren H. and Fred R. Eyerly of Winterset; a step-mother, Mrs. Clara Eyerly of Winterset; two half-sisters, Mrs. Eldon Thomas and Mrs. Ralph Shoemaker of Winterset; and five half-brothers, Emerson Eyerly of Winterset, Howard Eyerly of Brighton, Colo., John Eyerly of Northfield, Ill., and Lloyd and Sam Eyerly of Des Moines.

Funeral services and burial were held in California.
