Life-Time Resident of This County Buried at Blair Chapel
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home for Mrs. Jennye Jesse of near St. Charles whose death occurred Feb. 24 at Memorial hospital in Winterset. The Rev. Merlin Love of St. Charles conducted the service. Burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Jesse was born in Madison county June 12, 1878, and was 81 years of age at her death. She was the former Jenny Archer, daughter of A. A. and Eliza Shepherd Archer.
She was a life-time resident of this county. She was a graduate of Drake university in Des Moines, and taught rural school for many years.
She was married in 1908 in Council Bluffs to Joseph L. Jesse. He preceded her in death in 1951.
She leaves two sons, Eugene Jesse of California and Byron L. Jesse at home; three grandchildren; and a half sister, Linnie Field of Des Moines.
