RAY WRIGHT OF WINTERSET DIES

Life-Long Resident Had Been In Failing Health For Some Time

Ray Wright, a life-long resident of Winterset, died Saturday, July 4, after an extended period of failing health. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. Wright was born in Winterset on May 16, 1885, a son of Giles and Margaret Moore Wright. He was married in 1906 to Catherine Wentz. They were parents of four children, two dying in infancy. The wife and mother died in 1939.

On Dec. 19, 1940, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Kuntz, who survives him.

In addition to the wife, he leaves a son, Paul Wright of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Knorr of Monterey, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Fred F. Wright of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery near Winterset.
