Funeral Services Held Here Saturday From Richards Funeral Home
George W. Waltz, a resident of Madison county most of his life, died last Thursday, April 23, at his home here. He was 60 years of age.
Mr. Waltz was born at Decatur, Ill., on Jan. 9, 1899, a son of William and Emma Waltz. He was married Dec. 12, 1936, at Indianola, to Vera Graspy, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a step-daughter, Mrs. Velma Flam of Stockton, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Grace Hermon of Earlham, Mrs. Jewel Dick of Perry, Mrs. Ruth Young of Des Moines, and Mrs. Frances Pratt of Winterset; and two brothers, E. Waltz of Perry and Louie Waltz of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Fred Boyce, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
