Madison County Resident Past 30 Years Was 78 Years of Age
Mrs. Walter A. Seybold, a resident of Madison county since 1928, died at Memorial hospital in Winterset last Thursday, June 11. She was 78 years of age.
Mrs. Seybold was the former Minnie Lorena Smith, daughter of Jerome and Lydia Bellinger Smith. She was born April 26, 1881, in Adams county. She was married there at Corning, to Walter A. Seybold on Feb. 28, 1906. They had observed their fifty-second wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her husband. She also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edith Brown and Mrs. Ethel Murphy of Corning; six granddaughters; nine great grandchildren; a brother, LaVerne B. Smith of Corning.
She was a member of the West Star Methodist church.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Weed, former pastor at West Star. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
