MRS. CARL PHEARMAN DIES AT 52 YEARS

Funeral Services Set This Wednesday at Christian Church Here

Mrs. Carl Phearman, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Sunday, Dec. 6, at her home near Winterset. She was 52 years of age.

Mrs. Phearman was the former Berniece M. Cox, daughter of Charles and Millie Patterson Cox. She was born in Madison county Nov. 29, 1907.

On Jan. 25, 1927, she was married to Carl Phearman, who survives her.

She had united with the Penn Center Methodist church as a girl, and in later life transferred to the Christian church in Winterset.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Claren Phearman of Carlisle; a daughter, Mrs. Wallace Anderson of Winterset; three granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Little of Chicago and Mrs. Gladys Parkison of Earlham.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Winterset Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Robert A. Owens. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Phearman was the former Berniece M. Cox, daughter of Charles H. and Millie Mae Patterson Cox. She was born in Madison County November 29, 1907.

She had united with the Penn Center Methodist church as a girl, and transferred her membership to the Christian church in Winterset in April 1949.

She was married to Carl J. Phearman in Des Moines on January 25, 1927. Farmed for many years and took part in a neighborhood club where she found many friends and joy.

In addition to her husband Carl, she leaves a son Claren and his wife Ruth and children Roberta and Karen of Carlisle; a daughter Velma and her husband Wallace Anderson and daughter Janis. Two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Little of Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Gladys Parkison of Earlham.

Funeral services were Wednesday, December 9, at 2:00 p.m. from the Winterset Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Robert Owens. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
