Long-Time Resident Here Had Lived in West Since 1955
Robert A. O'Laughlin, 83, of Denver, Colo. died Monday, March 2, in St. Anthony's hospital in that city, following a 10-day illness.
Mr. O'Laughlin was born in Madison county, near Winterset, on June 2, 1875, a son of Terrence and Mary Crystal O'Laughlin. He spent the greater part of his life here, as a farmer.
He was married in Des Moines on Sept. 14, 1915, to Margaret B. Goodwin. In 1947, they moved from Winterset to Des Moines, and in 1955 to Denver.
His wife preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 1958.
Surviving are two sons, Robert O'Laughlin, Jr., of Des Moines and Charles E. O'Laughlin of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Nyle R. Bynum of Denver; two grandchildren; a sister, Della O'Laughlin of Burlingame, Calif.; and a brother, Thomas O'Laughlin of Winterset.
Funeral services were held March 6 from All Saints Catholic church in Denver. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery in that city.
