The body of Mrs. C. L. (Lot) Wilson, a well-known Winterset resident for many years, was brought here for burial in the Winterset cemetery Monday, following her death on Wednesday, March 5, 1947, a White Plains, N.Y.
Mrs. Wilson was a native of Indianola, where she was born April 22, 1868, and was 78 years old at the time of her death. She was the former Elizabeth E. Embree, daughter of Amos and Rebecca Stiles Embree.
She was married at Indianola to C. L. Wilson. They started housekeeping in Winterset, and this community remained her home during all of her married life. Mr. Wilson died in 1924, and the next year she went to New York to make her home with her sons. She lived with her sons until 6 years ago, and since then had been at the Miriam Osborn Memorial home.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by three sons: Embree D. Wilson of Las Vegas, Nev., John C. Wilson and James L. Wilson, both of White Plains; and a brother, Dr. Harold S. Embree of Hackensack, N..J.
