MRS. MARTHA WELLS Of Truro Is Dead

Mrs. Martha E. Wells, formerly of Truro, died Monday, Jan. 20, 1947, at Clarinda at the age of 77 years.

Mrs. Wells was the former Martha Ellen Garst, daughter of Samuel and Nancy Fowler Garst, and was born Sept. 19, 1869, in Madison county. She was a long-time member of the Christian church.

She was married to Enoch Wells, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Jake Garst of Peru; and two sisters, Mrs. Betty Hogue, and Mrs. Alice Chaplin, both of Truro.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Kale Funeral home, by the Rev. Verne Willey, pastor of the Truro Christian church. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
