MRS. S. A. BUCKLES Died On Saturday

Mrs. Hannah E. Buckles, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Saturday, March 29, 1947, at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines after a long illness. She was 76 years of age.

Mrs. Buckles was born at Truro on Aug. 21, 1870, the daughter of Peter and Rhoda Gearhard and her early life was spent in that community. She was married there Oct. 11, 1893, to Daniel McConnelee of Truro. They moved to Winterset abut 1903 and this had since been her home. Mr. McConnelee died in 1916.

On June 11, 1933, she was married to S. A. Buckles, who survives her. She also leaves a son, Ray E. McConnelee of Winterset, three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Schwab of Lincoln, Nebr.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Melvin Hansen, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church, of which she was a member. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
