OBITUARY

Katherine McKray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Liebe, was born July 1, 1882 at Amish, Iowa. She grew to womanhood in and around the Johnson county area, attending school at Amish.

On October 30, 1901 she was united in marriage to Ralph C. McKray. They made their home for three years in Hume, Mo. From there they moved back to Iowa. She spent the remainder of her life with her husband in and around Dallas, Madison and Guthrie counties.

To their happy union were born two sons, Kenneth of Bellevue, Neb. and Harold of Des Moines.

Katherine had been a member of the Christian church of Earlham for forty years. She was known for her loving kindness and love for her family, friends and her church. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

She passed away quite suddenly at her home June 10, 1959 at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 10 days.

She leaves to mourn, her loving husband Ralph, two sons Kenneth and Harold, four grandchildren, Beverly Horn of Hahm, Germany, Darwin McKray of Des Moines, Delores McKray of Des Moines and Delane McKray. One grandson Herbert preceded her in death.

She also leaves to mourn her passing three sisters, Lena Patterson and Emm Yondi of Iowa City, and Minnie Benell of Kalona.

She also leaves many friends who loved her, and will miss her.

(Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery)
