OLIVER HENDRICKS DIED WEDNESDAY

Funeral Service Saturday For 79-Year-Old Resident

Oliver E. Hendricks, a long time resident of Madison county, died last Wednesday, Feb. 11, at his home in Winterset. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Hendricks was born in Madison county on Oct. 26, 1879, a son of William and Clara Blighton Hendricks. His active life was spent in farming, and he had spent all but two years of his life in Madison county.

He was married March 1, 1911 to Blanche Myers, who survives him. He also leaves three sons, William Hendricks of Battle Lake, Minn., and Walter and Ralph Hendricks of Winterset; four daughters, Ethel Miner of Winterset, Margaret Jones of Des Moines, Laona Goater of Eagle Grove, and Wilda Stepp of Winterset; two brothers, Milo Hendricks of Winterset and Lee Hendricks of Escanaba, Mich.; two sisters, Minnie Tate of Washougal, Wash., and Alta Stone of Promis City; and 25 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the North McDonald cemetery.
