CHARLES G. HARRELL DIES AT 58 YEARS

Death Occurs at University Hospital in Iowa City

Charles G. Harrell, a life-long resident of Madison county died Sunday, Aug. 15, at University hospital in Iowa City. He was 58 years of age, and had been in failing health for many years.

Mr. Harrell was born in this county Jan. 7, 1901, a son of Edgar and Etta Hircock Harrell. His early life was spent on the farm, and he later was employed as a truck driver.

He was married May 12, 1934 to Carrie Duff, who survives him. He also leaves five sons, Edgar and Larry Harrell of Newport News, Va., and Howard, Don and David, at home; one granddaughter, two brothers, Lee Harrell of Winterset and Glenn Harrell of Tacoma, Wash.; and four sisters, Mrs. Glenn Newton and Mrs. Loran Jones of Winterset, Mrs. Tom Gordon of Aumsville, Ore., and Mrs. J. H. McDonald of Salem, Ore.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Weed of Orient. Burial was made in Winterset.
