Deat at Age of 71 Years for Grand River Township Farmer
Frederick A. Ham of Lorimor, a well-known farmer in Grand River township, died at his home last Saturday, May 16. He was 71 years of age.
Mr. Ham was born in Johnson county on Feb. 26, 1888, a son of Thomas and Ann Arthur Ham. He had lived in Madison county since 1908. He was married at Pitzer on Dec. 21, 1911, to Nellie E. Cameron.
Mr. Ham was affiliated with the Macksburg Methodist church.
He leaves his wife; a daughter, Mary; a son, Harold Ham; six brothers, Frank Ham of Burbank, Calif., James Ham of Solon, William Ham of Newton, Ralph and Jesse Ham of Winterset, and Tom Ham of Peru; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Edwards of Mission, Kan., Mrs. Mary Nelson of Peru and Mrs. Blanche Livingston of Orient.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home here, conducted by the Rev. Jerold Farley. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
