E. W. ALEXANDER Died Last Friday

Ervin W. Alexander, a resident of Madison county since 1900, died at his home here last Friday, Jan. 31, 1947, at the age of 64 years.

Mr. Alexander was a well known farmer, having lived on the same farm in Lincoln township for 32 years, before retiring because of ill health and moving to Winterset in 1945.

He was born at Union, Ia., on Jan. 30, 1883, the son of Levi and Ann Alexander. He was married Jan. 25, 1907, to Adelaide Miller. They were the parents of four children, one son dying in infancy, and another son, Wayne, dying in 1928 at the age of 15 years.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife; a son, Curtis Alexander who lives on the home farm; a daughter, Ruth Ann Alexander, at home; two brothers, Dean Alexander of Gooding, Ida., and Roy Alexander of Fostoria; and a sister, Mrs. E. L. Tracy of Portland, Ore.

Funeral services were held here Monday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. G. L. Hufstader, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
